For most teams already on Jira Premium or Enterprise, Atlassian Intelligence is the lowest-friction starting point. It’s built in, it’s trained on your project data, and it handles the most common requests.
Where the Built-In AI Falls Short
The Atlassian tools are strong at reactive tasks - answering questions, summarizing what’s there, writing a ticket when you ask for one.
The gap is in proactive work.
Your Jira board does not automatically reflect what happened in your planning meeting. Atlassian Intelligence doesn’t read your Slack channel and notice that a scope change was discussed. It doesn’t watch your standup and update the relevant tickets with what was decided. It doesn’t catch that a ticket from three sprints ago is now blocked based on something said in today’s call.
